2009 - 2010 Staff Announcement

The 2009-2010 season will mark Ray Rhodes' 15th year with the Guard, and he is looking forward to the great things that are in store for this year's team!

Megan Rexroat, Tom Dargon and John Lemire will be returning for the 2009-2010 season, as well. Ray is so proud to have all three of these THS alumni by his side. This coming season will mark Megan's fourth year with the Team as equipment tech, Tom's second year as equipment tech and John's ninth year as lead designer. And - We are pleased to announce that Jim Zulick and Philip Traini - the "dynamic duo" from Cheshire High School - will be joining our team! Jim will be our body designer and technician and Jim and Philip will design and tech portions of our equipment book, as well! Ray has been a big fan of their work, and he is honored to have them as part of the Team!

ABOUT US

The Trumbull High School Color Guard and Winter Guard units have captured several local and national championship titles over the past 14 years. Our winter guard began competing nationally in 1996, and has been a semi-finalist at World Championships from 1997-2003, and a Scholastic Open Finalist from 2004-2006. In April 2006 the guard traveled to Dayton, OH, for W.G.I. World Championships and for the first time ever achieved Medallist Status, placing 3rd over-all in the entire country! The guard was subsequently promoted to the elite Scholastic Word Class and have were finalists in 2007 & 2009.

Our guard enjoys a tradition of excellence and is recognized on a national level, much to the credit of our dedicated students, staff, and parent base, along with the long-standing support of our school administration.
